Oregon Collective Take a seat

Portland metro · Founding round

You cannot compete
with the big guys alone.

Ten Portland fence companies, one marketing team behind all of them. Ads, Google listing, website, phone, follow-up, run for you. Every homeowner it brings in goes to exactly one of them.

How it works

One team behind you.
More jobs closed.

No franchise, no rebrand, no shared phone line. Three things change, and every one of them puts jobs on your calendar.

  1. 01 · Run

    One team runs your marketing

Ads, Google listing, website, answered phone, follow-up texts. One team does it for all ten. Each of you gets what none could hire alone.

  2. 02 · Route

    One inquiry, one company

Every homeowner the collective brings in goes to exactly one member. Never shared with a second, never resold to a third.

  3. 03 · Cap

    Ten per metro, then closed

Membership stops at ten. Never more companies inside than the work can support.

Who you are up against

They are not better.
They are funded.

The big regional outfits put $20,000 to $40,000 a month into Google. That is one line on their budget. Here is the rest of it, and what the same list costs you inside the collective.

The advertising line alone, up close

Ten shops. Ten small budgets. None of the rest.

Fifteen hundred a month does not reach the top of the page. Nobody answers the phone at 6 pm, nobody follows up, nobody watches the numbers. They have people for all of it.

What changes hands

We run the advertising.
Not the company.

Your name stays on the truck. The advertising is the only thing on our side.

Stays yours100%
  • Your business name and brand
  • Your crews, your pricing, your schedule
  • Your customers and your reviews
  • Your Google listing
  • Your phone number
  • The website we build, even if you leave
Runs on our side1 thing
  • The advertising, run in one account for the whole group

That is the entire list. You do not become a franchise, and you do not take work under somebody else's name.

Your accounts stay in your name throughout · The advertising is the only shared part

Where it runs

One campaign covers all of it. Each homeowner goes to the member closest to the job.

Approximate. The map follows the members, not the other way around.

Ten seats, and then it is shut

Ten get in.
The rest bid against them.

Ten, because an advantage you hand to everybody is not an advantage. The ten who take a seat get the same team the big guys have, and advertise as one company their size. Every other fence shop in this metro spends next spring bidding against that. You either start competing or you do not. And if you do not want the seat, the guy across town does.

  • 10Seats. That is the whole metro, for good. We cannot give a competitive advantage to everyone and still call it one.
  • 61Fence companies in this metro who will not have one. Right now you can still pick which group you are in.
  • 1Cohort, bidding as one, from the day it switches on. Inside it, that works for you. Outside it, it works on you.

Who is behind it

No testimonials yet. On purpose.

We are opening our first metro and have no members to quote. Making some up is exactly what this business argues against. So here is the founder instead.

I started Oregon Collective because I kept running into fencing contractors who were good at the work and invisible online, losing jobs to companies that were worse at fencing and better funded.

I am not going to tell you I can guarantee you jobs. Nobody can, and anyone who does is lying to you.

Thomas Popescu
Founder

What I can do is turn on the channels you already qualify for and are not using, answer your phone while you are on a ladder, and put the advertising money where it actually works.

Thomas Popescu
Founder

If that is not worth it to you, do not join. I would rather have six members who stay than twenty who leave in March.

Straight answers

The questions everyone asks.

  • Is this Angi? No. Angi sells the same homeowner to four companies. Here a homeowner goes to one.
  • Is this just pooled ads?No. Ads are one of six things. The same team runs your listing, pages, phone, follow-up and monthly numbers.
  • Who actually does the work? One team, not you. A marketing lead, an SEO, a web developer, a receptionist service. The same people for all ten.
  • Do I change my name? No. Your name stays on the truck. Nothing about your company changes.
  • What if I am already busy?Tell us and we pause you. If you cannot take more work at all, call back in the spring.
  • What do I have to do?Send photos and addresses of finished jobs once a month. That is the whole ask.
  • What am I signing?A membership agreement, two months minimum, because that is how long the ramp takes. Fee and guarantee are in it too, in plain words.
  • Will you guarantee me jobs? No. Nobody can, and anyone who does is lying to you. We guarantee leads: 1.5 times what you get now.
  • What does it cost?$500 a month membership. $1,500 a month, minimum, into your advertising. Nothing until you are live.
Terms, in plain words

Nothing here is built
to trap you.

That is how long the ramp takes. Nobody turns this on and gets results in three weeks, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
